1) How do I brew the teas?
Simply place one bulb in your heat resistant glass teapot or cup. After bringing water to a boil, let it set for 1-2min., then pour the hot water into the teapot or cup. Watch it bloom! Let it brew/bloom for approximately 3-5 minutes. Now you are ready to drink and watch your beautiful flower bouquet.
Don't forget! Each RariTea bulb can be re-steeped up to three times, yielding three pots of tea!

3) What happens if I drink the tea leaves?
Nothing will happen if you accidentally swallow one or even a couple of tea leaves. It may just be a small inconvenience for you.

4) What is the lead time?
Orders are typically fulfilled within two business days and shipping times will vary with the method you choose. Please allow 5-7 business days for ground orders.

5) What color should the tea be when it’s finished brewing?
The tea should very light in color, such as a light amber color. It will not be dark such as a black or green tea.

6) What if my bulb does not bloom completely?
The amazing thing about RariTeas blooming teas is that each bulb is individually hand tied by skilled artisans. With this in mind it is understandable if you have come across one with a minor aesthetic imperfection. If the bloom doesn not completely open, lightly rocking the bloom with a spoon or other safe implement can coax the flowers to ufold completely. Be assured that even if the bloom is not fully opening, the tea is still brewing fully.

7) Do the blooming teas have an expiration date?
You can keep RariTeas blooming teas up to one year (from the time of purchase) if necessary. The bulbs should be kept in a cool, dry and contained environment. But we would not recommend you wait that long to experience the RariTeas!

8) Do you have a catalog you can send me?
Currently, RariTeas only has an online catalog but we are working on paper catalogs as well. If you would like to receive a catalog once they are available to the public, please send us your name and a physical address to info@rariteas.com.

Currently RariTeas is only purchased online and we do not have a physical store where customers can stop by. There are however, select businesses that will carry our product. 11) Is it a proven fact that White Tea is better than all the rest?
While Asian culture has been enjoying the incredible health benefits of White Tea for centuries, White Tea is surprisingly new and growing quickly in popularity among Americans. On that note a lot of research has been performed on the ever popular Green Tea. There have been many great positive findings on its health benefits. But recent studies have proven that White Tea carries a higher concentration of the healthy natural ingredients than that of its cousin, placing White Tea in the number one spot compared to other types of teas.

12) What are some of the health benefits of White Tea?
There are numerous health benefits associated with drinking White Tea. Research has shown that White Tea helps decrease LDL cholesterol, kills bacteria, viruses, and fungi in the body. It is packed full with anti-oxidants and carries a high concentration of polyphenols which help reduce the risk of cancer and cardiovascular disease.

13) What is the caffeine content of RariTeas blooming teas?
Each RariTea bulb is equivalent to approximately 2 normal size tea bags. There are about 2milligrams of caffeine per ounce (assuming there are 8 ounces of water per normal size tea bag) or about 16 milligrams per 8 ounce serving. You multiply 16 by 2 and there are about 32milligrams of caffeine in one blooming bulb per 8 ounce serving.

14) What are the flowers used in my blooming teas?
Some of the flowers you will find in your bouquets are: Osmanthus, Marigolds, Lilies, Jasmines, Globe Amaranths and Chrysanthemums. These are all uniquely hand tied for a different surprise!

16) What should I expect the taste to be like?
You should expect a smooth, subtle and sometimes sweet (depending on the flower that it is combined with) flavor. Most are very mild in flavor but are packed with anti-oxidants.

17) Why is it called White Tea?
When harvested the tea buds are covered by silvery hairs, giving the plant a whitish appearance. It also goes through the least amount of processing; it is simply steamed and dried and thus changes very little in appearance after initial harvest.

18) Where do RariTeas come from?
The White Silver Needle leaves used to create RariTeas Blooming Teas are born in Chengdu, China located in the Sichuan Province. In China, Chengdu is always praised as the Tian Fu Zhi Guo, which means 'Nature's Storehouse'. The tea gardens are irrigated by the Dujiangyan Irrigation Project which is the oldest and only surviving no-dam irrigation system in the world. This irrigation system consists of three parts: Yuzui, Feishayan and Baopingkou. This has been scientifically designed to automatically control the water flow of the rivers from the mountains to the plains throughout the year.

19) I am allergic to certain types of flowers, will I have an allergic reaction if I drink these flowering teas?
RariTeas blooming teas are made with real natural flowers (Chrysanthemum, Marigold, Lily, Osmanthus, Jasmine, Indian Trumpet flower, Tea Tree flower). If you are indeed allergic to flowers or the pollen from flowers we would strongly suggest that you do not drink the blooming teas.

20) I received my shipment but my teapot is broken, what should I do?
